ASP.NET Web API is a framework that makes it easy to build HTTP services that reach a broad range of clients, including browsers and mobile devices. ASP.NET Web API is an ideal platform for building RESTful applications on the .NET Framework.

In this presentation I will demonstrate how to write, test and document an HTTP service using the ASP.NET Web API. Also, we will discuss the components of a truly RESTful service and strategies to build one using the ASP.NET Web API.

Toi B Wright is an independent consultant who has worked as a software developer for over 25 years. She has a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. She has been a Microsoft MVP in ASP.NET since 2005 and she is the author of the WROX book titled, 'ASP.NET 4 24-Hour Trainer'.
