The Physical Web is an effort to extend the superpower of the web - the URL - to everyday physical objects. Physical Web is a discovery service: a smart object broadcasts relevant URLs that any nearby device can receive. This simple capability can unlock exciting new ways to interact with the Web. Web bluetooth enables devices to offer advanced interactions w/o connection to the internet.
In this presentation Ron will walk you through using the Javascript Annyang Voice Recognition Library, the Mobile Web Bluetooth API and the Chrome browser to communicate to Arduino via Bluetooth.
During the day, Ron is a Senior Software Engineer at thyssenkrupp Elevator, where he supports developers with their Windows, Web and 3D application development.
On the side, Ron is a Hackster Ambassador and Littlebits Chapter Leader in Dallas where he organizes workshop events. He also creates resources for developers by building creative projects at www.dagdag.net.
Ron is passionate about studying the convergence of Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, Machine Learning and the Internet of Things.
