ORIX is looking for an application developer to join our team in Dallas. Successful candidates have a demonstrated track record of educational, professional, and personal achievement. Preferably, he or she has an undergraduate or graduate Computer Science degree and a deep understanding of the subject.  Financial experience is not a prerequisite, but an interest in the application of technology to solve business problems is a must.  Candidates should also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the difference between working smart and working hard.

We primarily build and support software on the Windows .Net platform and related technologies such as Sharepoint.

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience developing application using the Microsoft .NET platform
• Experience with both web applications and thick client Microsoft applications is required
• Certifications in .Net is a plus
• Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
• Must have highly evolved problem solving abilities; resourcefulness to quickly come up with alternative methods to fix problems
• Must possess highly developed time-management skills; the ability to react quickly to rapidly changing priorities; deadline conscious
• Design and develop financial applications using agile development methodologies to rapidly solve business problems.
• Knowledge of OO design concepts and software design patterns
• Experience developing on the Microsoft Windows platform with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 is required and 2008 is very desirable.
• Programming languages: ASP.Net, C#, and the 2.0 .Net Framework
